Atelier Scavenger Hunt

The Atelier Scavenger Hunt web app is operated by the Vancouver Coworking Atelier Society. These terms govern your use of the service.

By participating in scavenger hunts we organize or using the app, you agree to these terms.

Eligibility

Participants must be at least 13 years old.

Participants under 18 should have permission from a parent or guardian.


Accounts

You may sign in using a supported login provider (such as Google, Discord, GitHub, or X) or by using passwordless email login.

When using email login, a temporary magic link may be sent to your email address to allow you to sign in securely.

You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account.


Scavenger Hunts

Participants complete challenges, submit answers or media, and earn points.

Participant names, points, and leaderboard rankings may be visible to other participants.

Organizers may review submissions to verify that challenges have been completed correctly.

Fair Play

Participants should complete challenges using the app and interfaces provided during the event.

Attempting to automate submissions, bypass challenge mechanics, access hidden information, or interact with the service in unintended ways (such as scripted requests or reverse engineering) may result in disqualification from the scavenger hunt.

Please don't attempt to interfere with the operation of the service or gain an unfair advantage through technical means. Organizers may investigate suspicious activity and take action to preserve fair play.


Safety and Real-World Activity

Scavenger hunts may involve moving around and interacting with real-world locations.

You participate at your own risk.

Organizer Safety Overrides

Event Nature and Availability

This app is operated specifically for Atelier Scavenger Hunt events.

Features, challenges, and data may change during events as needed. The service may also be modified, paused, or discontinued at any time, including after events conclude.

The service is provided as-is, without guarantees of uninterrupted availability.


Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Vancouver Coworking Atelier Society is not liable for damages resulting from the use of this service or participation in Atelier Scavenger Hunt events.


Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, and the applicable laws of Canada.
